Another: Episode S/0 was released on July 31, 2013 in Japan. It consists of two separate novels in a single binding.

Another S is set in the same time period as Another, and it features an adventure of Mei Misaki during summer vacation.

Another 0 is a short manga story located at the end of the book. It is set during Aunt Reiko's year in class 3-3, in 1983.

Summer, 1998. Mei Misaki, age fifteen, has gone with her family to their seaside vacation home. There she meets the ghost of Teruya Sakaki, her classmate from Yomiyama North Middle School Class 3-3 who, like Mei, witnessed the mysterious events that had transpired at the school. There begins an adventure of memory and mystery as they search for the ghost's body and his memories alike.

Teruya Sakaki is the uncle of Sou Hiratsuka.

Sou is Teruya Sakaki's nephew. Sou looked up to Teruya and viewed him as a role model.
