Yuika Hazumi is a female supporting character in Another 2001. She is a member of Class 3 alongside Sou Hiratsuka. Both Yuika and Sou are selected as non-existent students.

Yuika is a 15-year-old girl. She has an elder brother who is 5 years older than her. Her brother graduated in 2000, the year before, and has started law school at a university in Tokyo.

Yuika has chest-length dark hair with a brownish tint. She is the same height as Sou. She is acknowledged by several characters as being beautiful.

Yuika is described as being mature for her age. She is a caring individual. However, she sometimes becomes emotional and makes rash decisions, such as when she intentionally picked the Joker card to become the second non-existent so she could be with Sou. She becomes very distressed when her classmates begin avoiding and demeaning her partway through the year, and announces she is done with being non-existent.

Yuika and Sou were in the same class in the first year of junior high, but not in the second. They became classmates again for their third year when they were in Class 3-3 together. She tells Sou that his personality resembles her brother's and that she has noticed how he has been withdrawn and aloof for the last few years. Sou is initially unaware of Yuika's feelings towards him, and often treats her coldly despite her attempts to get to know him better.

Yuika later admits that she chose to be a non-existent student in order to be with Sou, and that she felt more reassured that they were in the same situation together. She becomes jealous of how much time Sou spends with Izumi Akazawa. Yuka eventually becomes distant from Sou after renouncing her status as a non-existent due to the overwhelming treatment and isolation she received from her classmates.
